Houston did not win the grand prize for the innovative One Bin for All concept, but the Bloomberg Mayor’s Challenge did award Houston one of the five Runner-Up prizes, worth $1 Million, to support the project going forward.
It’s worth noting, however, that the city’s concept ranked tops in public voting online. No doubt a sign that the concept will be watched closely by the rest of the country as it is rolled-out within the next two years.
