While much focus persists on health-care, the dental side of the health affordability crisis often gets overlooked. Poor and uninsured Houstonians are being prayed upon by nonprofessionals offering assistance but with unsanitary and unsafe conditions. And now police are cracking down, while a handful of professional local dentists also attempt to provide mass care in our area, and around the nation, through Dentistry From the Heart events.
