Back in June postal worker Danny Thompson saved two children from a burning home in southwest Houston because he saw something and acted to see if people were safe. His unselfish thinking resulted in not only saving their lives, but in winning the friendship and recognition of residents in that neighborhood, and on Tuesday the Mayor and City Council.
