The devastating impact of Hurricane Matthew on the east coast and the Caribbean should not be lost on the Texas Gulf Coast. Although we have been spared another storm since Hurricane Ike hit in 2008, we know eventually another storm will hit the Houston region. And researchers are saying we are not prepared for a storm as big and strong as Matthew, which could disrupt lives and our environment.
