After a Texas Supreme Court decision last month directed the city to repeal the Houston Equal Rights Ordinance (HERO), or put it to a vote, city council has decided on the latter. By a vote of 12 to 5 they have sustained the ordinance, but put the measure up for a repeal election. Although some are unhappy with the wording of the proposition.
