Houston Police Cadets Take Cultural Bus Tours to Learn about Diverse Neighborhoods They Will Serve

While nationally we see tensions rising between police forces and various ethnic communities they patrol, the Houston Police Department is trying to do something different. Focusing on training HPD’s new cadets on the various cultures and the history of Houston neighborhoods, they hope to better bridge the divide that can create problems in serving and protecting all Houstonians.
