Houstonians Recall Visits Mandela Made To Houston as a Human Rights Leader & Statesman

While the world mourns the loss of Nelson Mandela, many Houstonians who worked for his freedom, and who later got to meet him at two visits to our city in the 1990s, the memories are quite profound. He visited Houston twice in the 1990s, once to receive an honor at the Rothko Chapel, and the other to speak before the Baker Institute at Rice University.(Video: KRIV 26 News)
