With more veterans returning from wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, and a growing awareness of disabling conditions they may acquire there, comes more and more applications for Veterans Administration health and social benefits. And although the VA, first under the Bush administration, and now under the Obama administration, has consistently promised a quicker turn around on claims, the process is still lagging, and drawing more ire among veteran organizations and politicians like Senator John Cornyn.
