It’s one of the most important documents in American history and it’s on display for a short time at the Houston Museum of Natural Science. Normally, The Emancipation Proclamation, signed by President Abraham Lincoln, is only available for public viewing once a year in Washington — which is why some are calling this a once in a lifetime chance.
The original document will be on display inside “Discovering the Civil War” for a limited time during a special public viewing through February 21st, at the Houston Museum of Natural Science, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
