Houston-based Living Water Needs Your Help:

Horn of Africa Drought & Famine Continues

There are famine and drought-stricken areas in the Horn of Africa that only Houston’s own Living Water International able to reach, and they need your help, fast.

Ethiopian Borena Zonal and Woreda Water Bureau officials are pleading with Living Water to mobilize our trailer-mounted drill rigs into remote famine-affected regions that larger, local equipment cannot reach.

More than 300,000 cattle have died in the Borena Zone and their stench fills the air. Woreda has not seen rain in two years. The land is parched but there is water just 300 feet below the ground—you can help access it!

But here’s the thing: people will die if current commitments to serve victims of famine and drought can not be met. Accordingly they need extra help to both finish the job with the villages already committed to serve this year, and they need to drill more wells for victims of famine and drought.

Due to the extreme urgency of the situation, generous partners Ecclesia Church and Envirocon Technologies have offered to match your gift so Living Water can mobilize immediately into drought and famine-affected areas.
