McConnell & Jones LLP (MJ) will welcome over one-hundred faith-based organizations within the greater Houston area to take part in a panel discussion entitled Financial Stewardship: Accounting, Tax, and Internal Control Considerations for Faith-Based Organizations. Panelists will answer a variety of questions specific to faith-based organizations ranging from church contribution records, housing allowances, classification of workers, and much more. 
The round table discussion will give faith-based organizations insight on streamlined solutions for organizing all accounting procedures and an opportunity to get in front of the accounting industry’s top knowledge experts. Panelists include: Fountain of Praise Chief Operating Officer, George Anderson; United Methodist Church Audit Committee Chairman, Cheryl O’ Brien, CPA; The Church Without Walls Chief Operating Officer, Daniel Williams; and MJ Audit Partner Jonathan Ellis, who has over 12 years of experience in internal controls for nonprofit and governmental agencies. Moderating the discussion is MJ Tax Partner, Thomas Jones Jr., CPA.
