Late Monday afternoon, House Republicans revealed a long awaited bill that would supposedly replace the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare). Entitled the American Health Care Act, the bill keeps a few popular provisions but eliminates others while changing the entire mandate and penalty provision to a private incentive triggered by higher premiums if a citizen has let their coverage lapse for a period of time. While details are still be analyzed, details on costs are not immediately forthcoming.
