Stand with the Victims of Hurricane Irene

Over the past few days, hundreds of thousands on the East Coast have been evacuated from their homes and have turned to the Red Cross for help. Red Cross is relieved to report that the impact of Hurricane Irene has not been as catastrophic as feared, but the destruction is still significant on all accounts.

On Sunday night, the Red Cross operated or supported nearly 500 shelters with more than 27,000 residents from North Carolina to New England. Relief operations are ongoing in more than a dozen coastal states.

Your support is urgently needed to help us continue to provide those in need with critical aid, meals, cots and blankets for as long as it takes.
