Because of changes in state law, this week the Houston Zoo was forced to remove a sign at informing visitors the park was a gun free zone. But after the news became public, activists who are concerned that the zoo is a child friendly educational environment, let their own opinions be known. No doubt similar tensions will arise as other new gun laws come into effect in the coming year.
