Houston Mayor Annise Parker announced a major success in addressing the homelessness situation in downtown. With an increased focus on client coordination by agencies both public and private, and with a renewed focus on finding housing options for people, a record decrease has been seen in numbers on our city-center streets. However, until results of the full homeless census are available later in the year, much more will not be known about the issue beyond downtown. (Video: KTRK 13 News)
