The Disability Leadership Network of Houston (DLHN) is a local leadership and advocacy training program for parents, adults with disabilities and community members who are interested in learning more about disability issues. Hosted by the Family to Family Network and the Texas Council for Developmental Disabilities, the program will develop participants skills in doing advocacy work on disabilities issues — both at the individual level and at the broader public policy level. After completion of the program, attendees may be able to advance to specialized or statewide leadership and advocacy training programs. Trainings will be available both in Clear Lake and in Sugar Land area beginning in September and run through December. See announcement for more information on how to register.
