But now as energy tech diversifies, and becomes more dependent on workers with advanced skills in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM), HISD recognizes the needs to do a more thorough job of preparing youth for the changing career market. Partnering with many of the established corporate names of the Houston energy scene, and with an eye also on emerging energy alternatives, the new Energy Institute will prove to be an interesting incubator for tomorrows energy solutions.
