The much publicized story of a drowned 3 year old toddler on a Turkish shore is putting new focus on the plight of Syrian refugees all around the world. And although most are in neighboring nations in the Middle East, or Europe, some have already found their way to the United States, and Houston.

Recently the Houston Chronicle profiled that our city is now leading the nation in refugee resettlement, with individuals and families coming here from Syria and many other countries in conflict.
