On the day of his induction into the Baseball Hall of Fame, many will concentrate their recollections on the plays Craig Biggio has made on the field. However, for many kids and families connected to The Sunshine Kids, it’s his countless contributions of time off the field – as well as since leaving baseball – that mean the most. And the fact that as as professional athlete he chose to support children fighting cancer, because he remembered a neighbor who died of Leukemia, solidify him as a real HOUmanitarian to us. Congratulations, Number 7.
