Veterans in Homelessness: Officials Declare Victory in Houston – But is it Premature?

For the past several years the City of Houston has made a special effort to address homelessness among local veterans. This week saw three federal cabinet secretaries and the Mayor Annise Parker coming together to announce a victory of the problem. Yet some contend there is still much work to be done, and that other populations of women and children are being forgotten.
