While some in our area are gaining hope from the recent events in Cleveland, OH, the Smither family of Friendswood are sharing very much in the excitement of a former client who is finally seeing an incredible day of triumph and relief.
Shortly after the abduction of Gina DeJesus in 2004, the couple’s Laura Recovery Center for Missing Children worked with the teenager’s family, assisting them in the process of organizing an extended campaign to get answers and find their daughter. The Laura Recovery Center, named after the Smither’s own abducted and murdered child, has worked with families all over the nation since 1998 in order to help to recover missing children. A process they help foster by advising families on how to establish a “Triangle of Trust” among law enforcement, community and a missing child’s family.
