Julia “Marguerite” Badger began volunteering at Memorial Hermann in 1959, when it was still Hermann Hospital. She came on board Life Flight in 1976 and stayed on until 1992. In 2000, she was named First Lady of Life Flight. And according to the Houston Chronicle, she still volunteered at the hospital every week up until the week before her passing. The short film below (produced just last year) offers a glimpse of her in action and inspiration.
