In recent weeks we have seen several severe storm situations emerge. While they have been outliers in the midst of a longer-term drought, they are a chronic reminder for us that this city has many flood-prone challenges. The city in connection with the state though launched a week to try and build more attention and preparation of our citizens for this and other emergencies.
