Registration Still Open for TXU Energy Turkey Trot

Online registration has closed, but for people making last-minute plans for Thanksgiving, it’s not too late to sign up for the TXU Energy Turkey Trot benefiting Sheltering Arms Senior Services. This Houston tradition is a family-friendly fun event that benefits area senior citizens all year long.

To help with planning, organizers have gathered recipes and advice on the TXU Energy Turkey Trot website for preparing a feast while joining in the run.

The Thanksgiving morning event offers something for everyone, including 10-kilometer and 5-kilometer runs, walks and wheelchair races, plus a Kids Run. Events begin at 7:20 a.m. in the parking lot of Dillard’s at The Galleria (Westheimer at Post Oak), and a post-race party will feature healthy snacks and beverages.
