Thank goodness for cooler days and nights. It’s arrived right on schedule for Texas’ celebration of National Night Out – a nationwide effort to promote neighborly awareness and assist in crime prevention. Although nationally the day is observed in August, in Texas it has been moved to early October for several years so more folks could be coaxed out of their air-conditioned homes. So tonight, pull out the lawn furniture, sit on your porch/patio, wave at the neighbors, and talk about good weather we are (finally) having.
