Embattled President of MD Anderson Steps Down

After more than five years of administering the MD Anderson Cancer Center, Dr. Ron DePinho is calling it quits. While acknowledging failures in his own leadership, that have contributed to recent budget problems and layoffs, the President of the University of Texas affiliated institution said it was time to let others take over management. Chancellor McRaven of the the UT-System has asked Dr DePinho to stay on through the end of the current legislative session which will end in May.
