Crowds rivaling anything seen for a bathroom at a big event turned out in Austin on Tuesday for the Texas Senate’s first legislative hearing on the proposed ‘bathroom bill’ Senate Bill #6. Transgender Texans, their families and advocates came from around the state to express their feelings on the legislation into the wee hours of Wednesday. Very few public comments were from advocates for the legislation, still the Senate committee approved the bill to move to the Senate floor.
