On late Tuesday afternoon the Department of Public Safety released the video below of from the dash-cam of the trooper who stopped and arrested Sandra Bland last Friday. Reaction has been quite swift and troubling from supporters of the family and even from press, and law-enforcement professionals. As the 53 minute video illustrates, things escalated quickly throughout and at one point threats were made to “light you up” by the officer – apparently a reference to his taser. And yet still questions are being asked about things that happened off screen, and why unexplained edits have been made to this recording.

From a legal standpoint questions are also being raised about the actions taken by the officer and Bland.
