In Austin, some members of the Texas legislature are seeking to end the Texas DREAM Act that has allowed certain undocumented students to attend Texas colleges at in-state tuition rates. Houston residents who have benefited from the policy, as well as a former Houston based representative, came to the capital this week to testify about opportunities the law has permitted them to accomplish.
