A year ago, a local Spring school volunteer, Kenny Thompson, was so taken aback by the number of students who were without lunch money, that he paid off all their negative balances out of his own pocket. After others joined the “Lunch Angel” he launched a nonprofit, Feed the Future, that is expanding incredibly across the Houston region to keep up the work. (Video: KPRC 2 News)
