Finding a Way to Cover the Uninsured in Texas

With the Texas state legislature back in session, one of the biggest issues they will deal with is health care. With Texas leading the nation in uninsured, hospitals want lawmakers to figure out a way for the state to draw down billions in federal Affordable Care Act dollars to cover them, and alleviate the burden on local taxpayers. And although there is strong opposition to this already among Republican lawmakers, some think a solution being used in San Antonio might be a model for a particularly Texan solution.
