Seeking a “Blue Cure” for Prostate Cancer

June kicks off Men’s Health Awarenes Month, and although there has been a lot of controversy recently about prostate cancer screenings, many don’t realize that younger men can get the disease too.

One younger survivor of the disease has helped inspire a movement that has a major kick-off here on Friday, sponsored by KHOU 11 News and Hotel ZaZa. Proceeds benefit The Blue Cure Foundation, an organization whose mission is to save lives by promoting an integrative approach to prostate cancer treatment, that advocates increased funding for research and encouragement of “anticancer” dietary and lifestyle prevention habits.

KHOU 11 News Anchor Lily Jang will host a tweet-up with the hashtag #KHOU4BlueCure.
(Don’t worry – it is not necessary to Tweet to enjoy this social gathering.) What’s more? The first 250 people to arrive will receive a Blue Cure Foundation T-shirt and a complimentary 30-day, all-access pass to FIT Athletic Club.

While their you’ll also have the opportunity to meet MD Anderson physicians to ask questions about prostate cancer prevention and learn about healthy lifestyles that can help reduce your risk of prostate cancer.
