MLK Day: A Day of Service in Houston

Since 1995, the focus of the Martin Luther King, Jr Holiday celebration has sought to be focused on the concept of service. Focusing on the adage of “a day-on, not a day off,” the King Holiday Commission, and subsequient national leaders, have tried to underscore volunteering for others as a key quality to mirror from Dr King’s own life.

Congratulations and thanks to many of those who helped keep the dream alive in Houston this holiday.
